Many years ago, the City of Arab had a Fireworks show, hosted by a local citizen…

Alas, recent years had seen no such fireworks lighting up the night sky. Until recently, when a group of citizens decided to change that. They organized a small event, which gained support and grew. Ideas came left and right: an Arts & Crafts show, a Kid’s Area, Food Trucks, a Carnival, a 5K Race, and even live music. The little fireworks show had grown into a single-day community festival!

But what to call it? Was it a music festival? An Arts & Crafts show? What would it grow to become in the future? What did everything it offered have in common? Well, it’s in the South. And life is Sweeter in the South, like sugar. And there it was.
